Teckningsmuseet (The Drawing Museum)
Teckningsmuseet in Laholm is the Nordic region’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the art of drawing, featuring both temporary exhibitions and works from its own permanent collection. Its mission is to highlight drawing as an art form, as well as offering workshops, concerts, and lectures.
Housed in the same building, you'll also find Café Lagan, a gift shop, and the Laholm Ceramics Museum (Laholms keramikmuseum). The building also features the cosy Tecknarateljén (The Drawing Studio)—a creative space where visitors of all ages can happily get lost for hours.

Guided Walking Tours
During the summer, guided walking tours are held around Laholm's historic quarters. The themed walks range from Art Walking Tours to visits around the Lagaholm Castle Ruins or Gamleby, the town's oldest neighborhood. Led by local guides, the tours are free of charge, though some require advance booking.
Laholm Theatre (Laholms teater)
This century-old theatre boasts beautiful surroundings with bright, airy Art Nouveau-style rooms. It hosts intimate theatre and music performances, as well as stand-up comedy.

Built on a former railway embankment in central Laholm , this city park was named Sweden's most beautiful newly built park in 2013—an award that naturally attracts visitors eager to enjoy all the wonderful sights and greenery it has to offer. During the summer months, the park also hosts lively community sing-alongs (allsång).

Activities Along the River Lagan
In Laholm, angling along the River Lagan is a popular pastime for locals and visitors alike. The main fishing stretch covers about 8 kilometres, including a designated fly-fishing area. Children under 18 can fish for free, and adult fishing permits (fiskekort) are available at places like the Laholm Tourist Office or online.
If you prefer not to try your hand at fishing, you can book a scenic boat tour along the Lagan aboard the S/S Lagaholm-a historic steamboat built in 1888. It offers a unique and relaxing way to explore Laholm from the water.

Enjoy Fresh Fish at the Smokehouse (Rökeriet)
Located right on the River Lagan by Laholm’s marina, you'll find the popular Rökeriet. Here, they smoke fish, meats, and seafood in their own on-site smokehouses. You can enjoy their delicious artisanal craft right at the restaurant or purchase treats from the shop to take home—including wonderful spreads, sauces, and pickled herring.
Cycle the Railway Line Trail (Banvallsleden)
The Banvallsleden offers a fantastic cycling route starting and ending in the town of Laholm, guiding you through scenic countryside, open fields, and along the coast. And what better way to finish a long ride than enjoying a delicious fika or a well-prepared dinner at one of Laholm’s cosy eateries?
