Beach Fun & Lots of Ice Cream 2 Days

Day 1 – Arrival

With your weekend bag packed with blankets, books, swimwear, a warm sweater, and maybe a thermos, the weekend can begin. Just a stone’s throw from Sweden’s best sandy beach, Tylösand, is the cozy Tylebäck hotell & konferens nestled in the forest behind the dunes. Take a walk down to the beach after check-in, stretch your legs, and feel the sense of freedom. Collect seashells. Build a sandcastle. Read a bit in your book.

Kick off the weekend’s first ice cream at Riccardos Glassfabrik in Möllegård. Here, they make delicious gelato from milk, cream, berries, vanilla, nuts, and chocolate. You can also take a walk along Prins Bertils stig, which passes by Riccardo’s (and actually goes all the way to Tylebäck), visit the family-friendly Mjellby Konstmuseum, or return to the beach again.

End the evening with pizza to-go on the beach as the sun sets over the sea.

Halland’s long, narrow coast offers countless beaches and endless horizon views. Spend a weekend exploring your favorites while enjoying good food and, of course, ice cream!

Day 2

After breakfast, it’s time to try SUP (stand up paddleboarding), a surf-inspired activity that has become very popular because it suits almost everyone – regardless of previous experience. Kids can sit on an adult’s board, which is really fun!

Rent boards through KiteKalle or Villa Surfgarden and paddle out with the family on the sea, or try surfing in the small waves along the beach. If the waves are too big, you can take a ride along the Suseån river, which leads downstream – from fields and forests all the way out to the sea.

Of course, it’s also perfectly fine to just relax on the beach that morning: Take short walks, collect beach treasures, catch crabs, take a dip in the waves, and enjoy a picnic.

Later, head north to Falkenberg for lunch at Skrea Beach with views over the sea and sand dunes. Choose something delicious at Oceans’ terrace right on the beach, or at Falkenbergs Strandbad with its 250-meter-long pier just outside the door.

Don’t miss a dessert ice cream at Glasshuset Skrea – you might even have room for a round of mini-golf. It’s the perfect ending to an eventful weekend.
