"Åkturen" - roadtrip by bus

This is Åkturen ("The ride")

Road Trip by Bus: In Halland, no car is needed for a road trip. Embark on Åkturen, a popular bus route between Varberg and Åkulla Beech Forests, and explore the various attractions and nature reserves around Åkulla by bus. Stop at places like the Grimeton World Heritage Site, Ästad Vineyard, Öströö Sheep Farm, the scenic hiking trails, and much more. Convenient, exciting, and environmentally friendly.

Departures: Åkturen operates from June 15th to August 16th, with daily departures from Varberg's bus terminal (stop M).

Tickets: Purchase tickets via Hallandstrafiken. You can choose from a 24-hour ticket, a 5x24-hour ticket, and a Summer ticket.

Åkturen starts and ends in Varberg

The entire tour takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes, beginning and ending at Varberg's bus terminal (stop M). The bus operates as a hop-on-hop-off service, allowing you to spend an entire day with multiple stops along the way for coffee, discoveries, and enjoying nature.

Hallandstrafiken’s Sommarbiljetten ("Summer Ticket") is ideal for those who travel frequently within Halland during the summer, while the 5x24-timmarsbiljetten ("5x24-hour ticket") is suitable for occasional travelers, allowing unlimited travel on any five days within a 30-day period. There is also a 24-hour ticket available.
