Anton Hübner, a Halland native left Sweden for Norway…only to return and discover how amazing Halland is.
Nature has always been an important part of Anton’s life. He spends a lot of time traversing Halland’s diverse landscape on his mountain bike. Sometimes he ventures into deep forests; at others, he just loves to idly pedal down winding country roads. And when he’s feeling a bit perky, he goes for a long run along the coast.
The best thing about Halland is the landscape is a blend of the sea and the forest. And the fact that nature here is so serene.
It takes very little to find exciting experiences in the wild. Building a hut in a small forest grove, sheltering from the wind behind a dune or looking for that perfect picnic spot. These are adventures that don’t require a great deal of planning…and more importantly, fancy equipment.
“It’s so lovely to see the pure joy on the children’s faces when they’re monkeying around on their bikes, or when they’re scampering about among the trees.”
“The most important thing is getting out there. And cooking. Oh yes, cooking. Because everything tastes so much better in the woods.”
It does not matter if you bring buns, biscuits and a bottle of juice, or if you’d rather bring the kettle out for a spot of tea, and a sandwich stuffed with freshly-picked mushrooms right from the woods. To simply sit, look out over the woods and enjoy the peace and the quiet is an experience like no other.
