In the beginning, there were sixty buckets of hand-made Habanero sauce made on a lark. And that’s how Señor Habanero was born. Today, Inge, Per-Anders and Lars, the trio at the helm of Señor Habanero brew chilli sauces using only the choicest hand-picked ingredients…then spike them with a dash of wit and sarcasm.

What initially started out as a hobby has turned into a runaway success. Not surprisingly, they now speak of world domination through their sauces, but they say that in jest…barely.

They puff their chests out and call themselves the ‘Chili Guerillas’. And their sauces are stocked by fine supermarkets and stores around Halland and Sweden. (Tip: They’re definitely available at Suseå Chocolate & Deli in Falkenberg.)

The sauces vary in intensity and although the ‘heat’ is robust, the emphasis is on exciting flavours and taste profiles rather than having flames shoot out of your nostrils and ruining the experience.

One other thing – Señor Habanero have a good ear for music. So not only do they give you plenty of tips on how to pair their different sauces with food, they also let you know that each sauce also has its own soundtrack. Yes, you heard that right. Each sauce comes with a personalised soundtrack, so you know exactly what music is the best accompaniment for each sauce.

But of course, like we said before, their focus is on flavours and taste. So every sauce offers just the right degree of heat and intensity, AND makes for a great condiment to every meal. As they say in Sweixican… Barriga Llena, Corazón Contento Full belly, happy in the heart.
