Ice cream heaven
Vi i Halland är bra på If you don’t love ice cream, Halland may not be the place for you. Our ice creams are legendary; people make expeditions to our ice cream parlours from far away lands.. Egengjorda Gelaton is an artisanal ice cream producer that embellishes their ice cream with fresh, home-grown fruits, berries and loads nuts. You can visit their charming cafes all through summer. Then there’s Sia Ice Cream, one of Sweden's largest ice cream brands. They only know one way to make ice cream: with real cream. They’re conveniently located in Slöinge in Halland. Which makes it a perfect place to visit for anyone who loves ice cream. (And we can’t think of a single person who doesn’t.).
Three seaside nature reserves
There is something quite magical about nature around the sea. The beauty and the serenity with the waves gently lapping the shores has to be experienced to be believed. All along the coast of Halland you will find enchanting dunes that flank the seashore, along with pine trees and hedges.
Stand up paddleboarding
So much easier than surfing; and a completely different experience than canoeing, stand up paddleboarding is rapidly becoming popular around the world. It’s easy to understand why. The board is stable and you don’t need a lot of training before you hit the water.
Saving lives on Tylösand beach
Tylösand is one of Sweden's most popular beaches and during the summer there can be more than 40,000 visitors on the beach every day. While most beachgoers will have a fun time, some may get into a bit of a spot. And when something goes wrong and every second counts, whom can they turn to? Why, the lifeguards on Tylösand beach, of course.
The sea is an obvious part of the allure of Halland. When I travel across the world, I always look for places with beautiful vibes. I found once such place in Varberg and that has made me come back year after year. It’s also the same feeling that led me relocate here.
