One of Halland’s most beautiful roads is the one between Askome and Gällared, If you follow this, you will eventually arrive at Yngeredsforsen. Here you can walk among wonders from the time when the old water reservoir was in use. You get the opportunity to closely examine some spectacular old ruins and dams.
A new station was built upstream in the 1960s. So the stretch of water at the old power station has been dry ever since. This is the name Dead Death, which means Dead Falls in Swedish. But every now and then, when the water levels are high and the water is released, the old waterfall roars back to life as it once was. All along the road you will find barbecue areas, benches and tables, so pack your hampers with hot dogs, steaks and coffee and come on.
