Särö Västerskog

Särö Västerskog, just like the name suggests is a thickly wooded forest area, west of Särö in the North-western part of Kungsbacka. There are several walking paths here, all lined with oaks and pine trees that are several hundred years old.

Särö Västerskog has retained its open character. You will find discover a variety of rare lichens, mushroom, even beetles here that are on the endangered list. When you get up on top of the hillock here, you can get sweeping views over the forest and the archipelago. Pro tip: Don’t forget to pack your bathing suits; you have a choice between a sandy beach and a rocky one here.
