Many Swedes dreamed of a better life, and moved to America in the early part of the 20th century. For over a million Swedes there was uncertainty about whether they would ever hear from a loved one again. The Grimeton Radio Station, in Grimeton Varberg, made communication easier and helped to shorten the distances.
